The Exposition des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes exhibition in Paris in 1925 launched what is now known as Art Deco. The new style saw designs in bold shapes and bright colours, typified in England by designers such as Clarice Cliff and Susie Cooper. |

Edward Radford was certainly influenced by the new style, as illustrated by some of these pictures. These are decorated with much more abstract patterns than the usual floral designs, whilst still retaining the distinctive Radford style. |
