Most Radford is identified by a shape number, either handwritten as here, or impressed. This is shape 1, and therefore likely to be the earliest shape produced by Radford. |

Desert flowers... or a rockery? |
|
A nice lampbase... certainly Woods... but is it Radford? Just marked "Made in England", I've not seen the pattern before - if you have I'd like to hear about it... |

Thanks to Sheila for this picture of a rather nice early anemone, see galleries 2 & 3 for more like this. |

Indian Tree. Several people have sent in pictures of Indian Tree recently, asking for more information about this range. I do know it can be found with either Radford or more usually H J Wood basemarks. Also it was available in the 50's and still being produced as late as 1981. Apart from that I don't know much more - any volunteers for an article ? |

A nice scraffiato lamp base, decorated with a ship design. Early lamp bases usually seem to have been made using a vase blank (this is shape 104) - but check the little hole where the cable exits - if it appears drilled then its likely to have been converted after it left the factory. |

Two unusual types of earlier candle holder - top is a Burslem shape probably dating from the 1930's, below is a pair of handthrown QC, probably from the late 40's, E Radford England basemark. |
